How far are you willing to go?

Those thoughts in your mind that come up with excuses are not based on reality. They are based on fear. The more fuel you feed them, the more logical and real they become.

Excuses are crutches you create to make yourself feel better about not taking action.

It's easier for you to admit why you can't do something than to actually try it and risk failure.

We have excuses for everything. Not exercising, eating bad food, making stupid decisions, but you must always remember these excuses are nothing except decisions that we chose. When you find yourself making an excuse, think of it another way. Think of it as a crossroads. One direction leads to nothing except your excuse and the other leads to actually doing and succeeding.

The first step toward excuses is easy but there's a never-ending mountain of more challenges and disappointments to live with.

The first steps.. no, miles, of making the decision to follow your dreams are not easy, but you will hit a point where it's no longer an uphill battle. It requires no more effort to live a life of abundance and prosperity than a life of wanting and wishing.

It's time to choose what you want.

If you want a life full of what you have now, keep doing what you're doing.

But you want more.

So what are you willing to do to about it?

I'm reminded of a poem from an author who is unknown to me.

I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

For Life is just an employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid.
