"JUST PUTTING THAT OUT INTO THE UNIVERSE" AND OTHER STUPID THINGS PEOPLE KEEP SAYING

Maybe you've read "The Secret" one too many times instead of actually doing something that will result in your dreams coming true.

"Putting it into the universe" is useless...

-UNLESS-

You follow it up with some work.

Marshall Goldsmith says it well in his book, "What Got You Here Won't Get You There."

If you don't read the book, the title gives enough of a lesson.

You're HERE right now because of the decisions and actions you took in the past. If you keep doing the same, you'll end up in the same spot. No progress leads to no progress... no growth... no CHANGE.

If you want to get "THERE" - where ever there is for you, you'll need to do something new, something different, something bigger.

You keep putting things out to the universe. How's that working out for you?

Maybe it's time to stop putting things out in the universe and bringing the responsibility back to you.

It's up to you.

No one cares if you fail.

It's up to you.

It doesn't take a big step to start but it does take a step.

It doesn't even matter if it's a step in the right direction.

Seth Godin puts it something like, "A wrong decision is much less expensive than no decision."

DO SOMETHING.

It won't work the first time anyway.

Learn what doesn't work then do something else.

Repeat.

Just Go.
